hi. as what the title says, I'm looking for an accessible dictionary software. preferably can be use offline. I'm currently using Encarta Dictionaries. but I don't think I could install it in windows8/10.
Plus I have to install the whole Encarta sistem even if I only want to use the dictionary. and i'm planning to upgrade soon.
so, help me geek masters.
any suggestions are wellcome.
my spelling really sucks. *smile*
Bringing this back to the top, because I too would like to know. I currently use the dictionary.com app on my Iphone, along with Kurzweil 300,0, and of course the internet. None of which probably help you a whole lot given your need to have one offline.
oh, so there is an app for this? thanks, guardian, will get it soon! don't worry,
rusty, I'm horible at spelling too. you're not alone. :)
@ bg, thanks. I'll look it up.
@ sia, good to know that i'm not alone. :D
no solution to my dilemma? c'mon geek masters. you guyz must know something. please help.
*smile*
I have an accessible dictionary in the form of a Franklin Language master. But that's not what you're looking for, is it? :D
@ write away. nope. I'm looking for software cause its eazy to carry. :D
i have several dictionaries and thesauruses that i got from bookshare. they also have encyclopedias. keep in mind that some are a bit dated. i carry them on my flashdrive.
a dictionary app sounds like something i'd find useful. perhaps i'll look into getting one.
I'm not sure about dictionaries for Windows, but I'm sure they are out there. As for the Language Master, isn't that over 2 decades old now?
Do words ever go out of style? So what if the dictionary was published a decade ago?
even a strip-down version of encarta. just the dictionary will do.
I just don't want to install the whole thing.
where can I find one?
and hopefully works with new os?
